Lakmé: Skincare That Cares About Animal Testing
May 9, 2022
Lakme takes a stand against animal testing with its PETA-approval to ensure a cruelty-free process in formulating world class beauty products. Opposing animal cruelty is part of the values at Lakme in creating their beauty products.
Companies that are listed on the PETA approval registry either sign PETA’s statement of assurance or provide a statement verifying that they do not conduct or commission any animal tests on ingredients, formulations, or finished products and that they pledge not to do so in the future.
Lakme has also previously been approved on the Global Beauty without Bunnies Programme as well which certifies and gives the seal of approval to cosmetics, personal-care products, and household goods companies which promises to go cruelty-free and conduct no tests on animals. Lakmé now features the programme’s PETA-approved bunny logo on it’s packaging.
Lakme ensures that they and their suppliers do not conduct or allow any tests on animals for their ingredients, formulations, or completed products anywhere in the world and promises to continue its ethical practices in all future productions as well.
